GPTC GED® Testing is open! The DeKalb Campus located in Clarkston is accepting appointments for GED® and Pearson VUE exams. All exams are by appointment only. CLICK HERE for links to register and for information on testing days and times.

Please visit MY GED or Pearson VUE to register to take an exam on the DeKalb Campus in Clarkston. Testing days and times are as follows:

  • Tuesday and Thursday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

NOTE: South DeKalb and Newton campuses are closed during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Step 1: Register for GED® Test

You must register online to take the GED® Test. The GED® exam is computer-based and can only be taken on a computer. If you have questions, please contact our Testing Administrator.

The GED® exam contains four separate tests:

  • Reasoning through Language Arts
  • Social Studies
  • Science
  • Mathematical Reasoning

Step 2: Pay for GED® Test

Debit and credit cards are accepted.

  • $40 per test
  • $160 for all four tests

COVID-19 Testing Requirements in Georgia

The following form is required each time you enter a testing center during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are form options available in English and in Spanish. Students 16 and 17 years of age are considered under-age and must have the consent of a parent or guardian to test. Parents and guardians should complete the form on behalf of the under-age student and sign on the designated line provided.
