Program Description Online learning can be especially challenging for some students. Georgia Piedmont Technical College is excited to announce a new program that will support students in 3rd through 6th grades in completing their remote learning, while in a safe learning environment. Our professional staff of remote learning instructional aides won’t take the place of teachers but will assist with questions during remote learning and help to keep students on track as they connect with their teachers online.

Students will stay in the same room the entire day except for breaks. Desks are assigned to facilitate social distancing and contact tracing, if needed. Other safety precautions include daily COVID-19 symptom checks, mandatory face coverings, and cleaning/disinfecting protocols.

Program Locations ·       DeKalb/Clarkston – Building D Tutoring Center

·       Newton/Covington – Building A Conference Area

·       South DeKalb/Decatur – Student Lounge
Program Details ·       Drop off 7:30 am —Pick up 3:30 pm

·       Limited slots available (up to 75 total between three locations)

·       COVID-19 safety precautions

·       Student must bring their own lunch (no refrigerators provided)

·       Students required to bring their own laptop/Chromebook and headphones

·       Weekly enrichment opportunities
Program Costs $100 per week (one-time application fee of $25)

$1.00 per minute for children not picked up by 3:30 pm
