Think pink. We hear that phrase every October as a reminder to keep breast cancer awareness at the front of our minds. At Georgia Piedmont Technical College, the student activities team added some green to their thoughts of pink this year. A total of $1,339 was raised for breast cancer awareness and donated to the American Cancer Society. This far exceeded the goal of $1,000! Two different walks and fundraiser events were held at GPTC campuses, where participants bought tee-shirts, special pens, fans, and even cupcakes before stepping out on a fundraising walk.
