Dual Enrollment Funding
Great news -- most Dual Enrollment students pay nothing out of pocket. Georgia offers several funding programs specifically for high school students taking college courses. The program that applies to you depends on what you are studying and how your enrollment is structured. Select a funding type below to learn more.
Dual Enrollment Grant
The standard funding source for most DE students. Covers tuition for career and academic courses. Funded through GA Futures.

Dual Enrollment Grant
The Dual Enrollment Grant is the primary funding source for most GPTC Dual Enrollment students. It is administered through the Georgia Student Finance Commission via GA Futures and must be renewed every school year.

Requirements
Create or renew your GA Futures account and submit your DE funding application
Have your courses approved by your high school counselor in GA Futures
Confirm your Social Security Number is correct in your application
Males age 18 and up must register with Selective Service
Maintain a 2.0 GPA for career courses, 2.5 GPA for academic courses
What It Covers
Career pathway courses for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders
Academic core courses for 11th and 12th graders
Up to 30 credit hours total
Does NOT cover lab fees, malpractice insurance, or repeated failed courses
HOPE Career Grant
The HOPE Career Grant provides additional funding on top of the DE Grant for students enrolled in approved career programs in high-demand fields. If your program is HOPE Career Grant eligible, you may qualify for up to $500 per semester -- at no extra cost to you.

Have courses approved by your high school counselor

The ACE (Accelerated Career Education) Grant is available to students in the Accelerated Career program -- a modified graduation pathway that allows students to earn college credentials alongside their high school diploma.

Requirements
Complete the GSFAPP application -- valid for 10 years
Be enrolled in 2 ACE-approved TCCs, OR a Diploma, OR an Associate Degree
Remain enrolled in high school
Complete 9 required HS courses: 2 English, 2 Math, 2 Science, 2 Social Studies, 1 Health/PE

Self-pay applies when grant funding cannot be used for a specific course or situation. Understanding when self-pay kicks in can help you avoid unexpected costs.
When Self-Pay Applies
You may be responsible for costs in the following situations
·Your courses were not approved by your high school counselor in GA Futures before registration
·You failed a course -- failed courses will not be funded for the repeat attempt

·The course is not on the approved DE Course Directory for your funding type
