CDL Program update

The standard curriculum for this 8-week program consists of 220 hours of instruction to include classroom, lab, range and over the road training.  Successful graduates are eligible to test for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class “A” license, a will receive a Technical College Certificate of Credit from Georgia Piedmont Technical College.

This program is a special admissions program with specific start dates.

The CDL program is currently taking new applications.

Each CDL cohort consists of 16 slots (Day Class only) currently. To be considered for the Fall 2024, please complete the Commercial Truck Driving Application. Please keep in mind that the CDL program is on a first come, first serve basis because of high enrollment. We will only accept online applications for the 8 Week CDL A Commercial Truck Driving (CTD) program.

When completing your Admissions application, please be sure to enter Commercial Truck Driving as the program of study on your application. Remember this program is first come, first serve. You will be required to submit the following documents to complete enrollment:

  1. GA Driver’s License
  2. Class A Learner’s Permit – Required and a DOT medical card
  3. High School, GED, or College Transcripts
  4. 7 Year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
  5. One-time, non-refundable, $25 application fee – (The fee may vary).
  6. To qualify for financial aid, the student must be a resident of GA for (2) years – (Federal School Code – 016582)
