Health Information Management Technology Degree Program Sheet

The Health Information Technology Degree program is a sequence of courses designed to provide students with the technical knowledge and skills necessary to process, maintain, analyze, and report health information data according to legal, accreditation, licensure and certification standards for reimbursement, facility planning, marketing, risk management, utilization management, quality assessment and research; program graduates will develop leadership skills necessary to serve in a functional supervisory role in various components of the health information system.

2018 Annual Security Report

This information is supplied in compliance with the federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act. This Act contains safety and security related laws and regulations from the Higher Education Opportunity Act as amended (2009). The Act requires colleges and universities across the United States to disclose information about crime on and around their campuses. Because the law is tied to participation in federal student financial aid programs it applies to most institutions of higher education both public and private. It is enforced by the U.S. Department of Education. The “Clery Act” is named in memory of Jeanne Ann Clery who was murdered while asleep in her residence hall room on April 5, 1986 at Lehigh University, Pennsylvania.

2018-2019 Student Handbook

The 2018-2019 Student Handbook includes student resources such as the policies and procedures of the College, including the behavioral standards expected of all Georgia Piedmont Technical College students, guest and visitors. In addition to college policies, the student handbook includes student activities and department information.

Programs
