Scholarships

The Georgia Piedmont Technical College Foundation offers a number of scholarships annually. The purpose of these scholarships is to attract, recognize and reward outstanding students. Some scholarships are awarded based on financial need; others are based on academic merit.

Scholarships are available to students who are currently enrolled or pre-registered in credit or non-credit programs. A student is eligible to receive up to two scholarships per academic year. (July 1 – June 30) The awarding of the scholarships is given solely at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee.

The Scholarship Committee has sole discretion in the recommendation of scholarship awards or declines, which may be based on:

  1. Having equally qualified candidates who have not been awarded a scholarship within the past calendar or academic year.

  2. Quality and content of essay.

  3. Level of Grade point average.

  4. A low Ethics grade.

  5. An omitted instructor recommendation.

  6. No validation or original statements and signatures from volunteer/organization representatives.

  7. Missing, incomplete, or unsigned documentation.

  8. Missing the Scholarship deadline.

  9. Scholarship Fund limitations.
