Ways to Contribute

Ways of giving

Cash - The most common method of giving that provides instant support for both restricted and unrestricted needs throughout the college.

Scholarships - Donors can endow and name a scholarship to honor an individual, business, or organization. For a minimum gift of $10,000, a named scholarship can be established in perpetuity to provide annual scholarship support for deserving students.

In-Kind - These gifts include equipment, merchandise, property, etc. in lieu of a cash contribution. In-kind instructional equipment directly benefits the college’s programs.

Securities - Negotiable securities, i.e. appreciated stock held for more than one year provide tax savings for donors and support for GPTC. Gifts of stock eliminate capital gains tax while offering a tax deduction for full fair-market value on the date of the gift.

Deferred Gifts - Bequests, wills, trusts, annuities, real estate, and gifts of life insurance provide substantial support for future use.

Matching Gifts - Donors can increase the value of their cash and in-kind gifts through matching programs. Click on TechMatch or Corporate Matches for information.

Sponsorships – This includes support for specific college programs and activities.

Named Funds – Donors can establish and name an endowment, replenishing, or one-time-gift fund for a minimum cash donation of $10,000. Click on Strategic-Initiative Funds or call (404) 297-9522 ext. 1753 for further information.

Other Gifts - In some cases, loans of facilities and equipment, deep discounts, and other resources can be considered gifts, Contact Judy Taylor at (404) 297-9522 ext. 1753 for further information.

Contribute or Pledge - Online or by Regular Mail
Both outright gifts of cash (including those payable over one to three years) and deferred gifts are welcome. All gifts contributed to the GPTC Foundation, whether cash or through other provisions, are tax deductible and will receive appropriate credit and acknowledgement. Gifts can be made online (see the DONATE link above for credit or debit card donations) or with a check through regular mail.

For an outright and pledged cash gift, please print out, complete, and mail the following form along with your check to the GPTC Foundation Office. For other gifts, including in-kind gifts, please contact Judy Taylor at (404) 297-9522 ext. 1753.
