Involvement in Student Government is a great way to develop your leadership skills, influence campus decisions and get involved in your campus community.  Student Government elections are held in the Spring semester.
In the spring semester, an election is held with the purpose of filling the following positions: President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, Parliamentarian, Historian and Governor. All positions not filled by election during the spring will be elected in the fall. This election must be held no later than the sixth week of the fall semester.  Please refer to the election policies in the SGA Constitution and Bylaws for further information on elections.
Not interested in running for Student Government?  Support Georgia Piedmont and serve the students by joining our Student Activities Volunteer Extraordinaire (S.A.V.E.) program or Emerging Leaders program.  S.A.V.E. allows our students to participate and volunteer in our activities and events sponsored by SGA and the Office of Student Activities.  There is no major commitment. Students are interviewed and then contacted to assist with upcoming events.  The Emerging Leaders program is designed to groom individuals that are interested in Student Leader positions.  Those students will assist with events as well, but will also be offered leadership training and other responsibilities preparing them for leadership roles.  In addition, S.A.V.E. and Emerging Leaders program members are invited to attend conferences and competitions to represent  Georgia Piedmont Technical College.
