Georgia Piedmont Tech and Rockdale County to co-host community career and education expo

Rockdale County, GA - July 06, 2012

Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC) and Rockdale County Government will co-host Career & Education EXPO, a community event presenting the College's programs of study and the County's outreach to improve the employment prospects of Rockdale County residents and surrounding regions, on Sat., July 14, 2012. The event is free and will take place 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Salem High School, located at 3551 Underwood Rd. in Conyers, Ga, 30013.

Approximately 30 exhibitors will participate in the expo, including GPTC academic programs, the Georgia Department of Labor, military recruiters and Rockdale County social-services programs. The festive event will provide Rockdale County residents with an opportunity to explore career options and to meet with an array of representatives, who will be armed with handouts, college-curriculum information and answers to typical questions. Financial-aid and admission specialists will also be on-site.
