GDOL to host the 2017 Veterans Career Fair in Covington

April 27, 2017

Job seekers in the Covington area will have the opportunity to meet with about 20 employers with jobs to fill during the 2017 Veterans Career Fair.

The career fair is being co-sponsored by The Georgia Department of Labor's (GDOL) Covington Career Center, Newton County Chamber of Commerce, Georgia Piedmont Technical College (GPTC) and the Covington Area Employer Committee.

There will be two sessions held on Thursday, May 11, at the Georgia Piedmont Technical College located at 8100 Bob Williams Parkway in Covington. The first will be open to veterans from 9- 9:30 a.m., and the second will be open to the public from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Employers who have already registered for the career fair include: Anthony International, Ark Temp Staffing LLC, Astro Plastic, C.R. Bard, Dart Container, Employer Solutions, Express Employment Pros, General Mills, Georgia-Pacific, Heavy Equipment College, Hire Dynamics, Hitachi Automotive, J.M.A. Placement, Leggett & Platt, Newton County 911, Newton County Sheriff Department, Oldcastle Building Envelope, Pratt Industries, ProLogistix/Resource MFG, Rock Staffing, Rockdale County Sheriff Department and Wagner Service Solutions.
