OSHA 30 Hour - General Industry Compliance

Course Description: This OSHA 30 hour general industry safety training course is designed especially for employers and those management and leadership employees designated to manage or lead the safety program and or provide safety leadership to other employees. This includes safety coordinators/safety managers, HR professionals in charge of safety, and supervisors/managers. The course is 30 hours in length conducted over a five-day period of 8 hours each day, Monday through Thursday, with 4 hours scheduled on Friday. OSHA requires that at least 30 class hours must be spent covering course topics. Breaks and lunch periods are not counted as class time. Classes begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and end at 5:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday with a 1-hour break for lunch. Fridays class will begin at 8:00 and finish up at 12:00 noon. Other breaks will be taken periodically throughout the day. Refreshments will be provided.

Participants are required to attend the full 30 hours of instruction. If circumstances dictate that you must leave or that you miss part of the class, that time must be made up within 6 months in order to receive your OSHA and Georgia Piedmont Technical College certificates of completion.

Upon successful completion of the course, each participant will receive a Georgia Piedmont Technical College Certificate of Completion and a Department of Labor – OSHA card showing that you successfully completed the “OSHA 30 Hour General Industry ComplianceTraining Course.”
