Registration
Register by MAIL, FAX, or IN PERSON. You may register for these Continuing Education Classes NOW! Classes are filled on a first-come first-served basis. Full payment is required. Pay with Check, Money Order, VISA, or MasterCard only.
Continuing Education Withdrawal / Refund Policy
For "on campus" continuing education one or two day seminars, 100% refunds will be granted provided that a written withdrawal is received twenty-four hours before the first class is scheduled to begin. Written withdrawal forms can be found in the Office of the Registrar of the campus in which the student has registered. Absolutely NO refunds will be granted on or after the first scheduled class.
Students that have paid by cash, check, credit card or money order; will receive refunds by the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Accounting and Business Services office located in Clarkston, GA. Refunds are mailed to the address that the student has provided on the withdrawal form. Refunds are administered four to six weeks after the official date of withdrawal. NO refunds will be credited to the student's credit card.
Students that have registered and paid for Online Continuing Education classes will be granted a 100% refund after the notification is made to the registering agent of the Georgia Piedmont Technical College Continuing Education Department BEFORE the 6th business day prior to the class start date. Payments for Online Continuing Education classes are refunded to the same credit/debit card on record at the time registration.

Basic Typing

Students learn a basic knowledge of the keyboard and general typing functions. Students will receive practice and important tips on how to increase their typing speed. Concepts such as spacing, punctuation, hand placement, use of the mouse and other formatting issues will be covered.

Conversational Spanish I
$189/16 hrs.
Emphasis on simple oral communication. Students learn basic Spanish pronunciation, language structure, and a variety phrases for use in conversation. A focus on conversation for non-Spanish speaking workers to communicate with Spanish speaking workers. It includes giving instructions, direction, basic questions using who, what, when, where, why. Also learn colors, numbers, days of the week, months of the year, etc.

Introduction to Computers

This instructor-led course is designed to provide the student with a brief overview of microcomputer concepts, the Windows XP operating system, the Internet, Email and Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint (2007 version) applications. SAT Prep

The SAT contains verbal and math questions. The SAT contains a new Writing section, which includes a student-written essay and multiple-choice questions about grammar and English usage. This course will provide you with a grammar and usage review that's specific to the rules you'll be tested on in the new SAT. It will also assist in preparing the student for the Math portion of the SAT Exam.
