Required Admissions Documents

Applicants who have had no previous college, university, or technical college credit and desire to earn a diploma, degree, or certificate from Georgia Piedmont Tech are considered beginning freshmen and must submit the following:

  • A completed application form to the Admissions Office.

  • A $25.00 non-refundable application fee.

  • An official high school transcript or GED scores. The applicant must request that official transcripts be mailed directly to the Admissions Office. If the transcript is in a language other than English, an official English translation is also required.

  • Satisfactory scores on the COMPASS, SAT, ACT, or the ASSET Test. The COMPASS Test includes English, reading, and mathematics. Its purpose is to determine if a prospective student needs additional basic skills or courses before beginning a planned program of study. Applicants will be notified by mail of their need to take the COMPASS Test.

International Transcript Evaluations
Applicants that have completed all or part of their education outside of the United States and the United States territories are required to have their foreign educational credentials evaluated by an independent evaluation service.
